Mogu Accelerator has built a new connection engine based on the WireGuard protocol. WireGuard achieves complete accelerator functionality using only about 4,000 lines of code, while traditional IPsec requires over 600,000 lines. The more compact code results in a smaller attack surface, lower latency, and higher throughput. In our internal tests, WireGuard's handshake speed is three times faster than IKEv2 and eight times faster than IPsec.
Mogu Accelerator's implementation of WireGuard uses the Noise protocol framework for key exchange, employing Curve25519 for ECDH key agreement, ChaCha20-Poly1305 for symmetric encryption, and BLAKE2s for hashing. This combination of cryptographic primitives is widely validated by academia and industry, providing prospective security against quantum computing attacks.
